Dr. Jasmine Moghissi Opens Family Practice in Vienna June 15, 2002 (Vienna, Virginia) – Jasmine Moghissi, MD, has opened a family medicine practice in Maple Avenue in the heart of Vienna, Virginia. Formally with a group practice in the area for eleven years, she says, “A solo practice will make it easier for me to serve my patients in a more personalized manner and let me be the kind of doctor I’ve always dreamed of being.” Dr. Moghissi was born in Karlsruhe, Germany, and immigrated to the United States as a toddler. She has lived all over the US, and moved to the Washington, DC area in the 1970’s. She attended the University of Virginia as an undergraduate. In 1988 she received her doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her internship at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, and her residency at Fairfax Family Practice Center, a Medical College of Virginia residency Program. Dr. Moghissi regularly teaches medical students from George Washington University Medical School, and other medical schools. She is board certified in Family Practice, and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Fairfax County Medical Society. The practice is also a member of the Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce. A resident of Vienna since 1988, Dr. Moghiss is married and has two children in elementary school. She plays classical piano, does needlework, knits, quilts, and is a Girl Scout leader. -0- |
