I hope you have all had a healthy and restful summer and are ready for the fall. My summer has been crazy and I'm hoping for a nice restful fall. In addition to our billing issues (which thankfully are finally running much smoother!) and continued issues with our new electronic health records software (also running much smoother), I sent my first born off to college (is there such thing as half an empty nest?) and we've had quite a change in personnel.
Most important – Hanh Tran, PA, who has been with me for the past 2 ½ years, is leaving this month. I hired her as a full-time employee, but her practice never grew enough to keep her busy. At this time, she is working part-time at a temporary job at another practice, and is still looking for that elusive perfect full-time position. We hope you all join us in wishing her the best of luck in her future endeavors, we will miss her!
Since we have too many patients for me to see by myself, I have hired a part-time PA, Kristin Vidwans. She will be working Monday evenings and Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during the day. (Misty Tax, NP will be moving her evening to Tuesday nights). I am very excited about having Kristin start; she is an experienced PA, very capable, and a generally nice person. I hope you all like her as much as I do. She has been, and will continue to, work part-time for another physician on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please welcome her warmly!
Other news: Flu Shots are in! We have both adult and pediatric flu shots in limited numbers. Please call if you'd like one.
Please see below for our information on our open house! Janet will be visiting (and working) here that week and we wanted to take advantage of her being here. Although technically the specials are for the day of the open house only, we will honor the sale prices for injectables (Botox and Juvederm) earlier that week also, as long as you come in to be injected while Janet is here. Please come - we'd like to see as many of you as possible!

 Kristin Vidwans PAC joined the practice in September 2011. After working 6 years as a Physical Therapist, she returned to school and obtained her Masters degree from George Washington University. She has been working at an Internal Medicine practice in Annandale since graduation. She has acquired experience in all aspects of general medicine, including women's health issues. She is looking forward to furthering her experience and education as a part of our practice.
Kristin is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.
Kristin lives in the Falls Church area and enjoys spending quality time with her family and participating with her sons' sports and after school activities. She enjoys running, traveling, being outdoors and reading books in quiet moments. |
