Office Hours
Phones will be answered from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays. We are not currently offering weekend hours.
Dr. Moghissi is currently seeing patients two days per week. She is in the office 1 full day/week, generally on Fridays. In addition she sees patients virtually a 2nd day of the week, usually on Tuesdays.

We only see patients by appointment. Staff answers phones 5 days per week.
After Hours Coverage
For medical emergencies please call 911
For urgent medical questions call 703-281-5560 for further instructions.
For non-urgent questions after hours please call the office at 703-281-5560 and leave a message.
Communication with the Doctor
Patients are welcome to communicate and ask questions of the doctor via the Athena portal. If she feels that the problem is too complicated to take care of via the portal, she will ask you to come in for an office visit. Dr. Moghissi does have an email address which you may use for questions which are not medically related.
Please do not email Dr. Moghissi with medical questions as federal law prohibits her from discussing protected health information via unencrypted email. All medical questions can only be handled through the portal.
Dr. Moghissi does not check her email or the portal on weekends or when she is out of the office. Please do not send urgent questions through the portal or via email, it is better to call.
Prescriptions
Dr. Moghissi will give you enough medication until you are due for a follow up appointment. If you are running low on a prescription, please call our office and set up an appointment.
Payment and Insurance
We participate with most insurance plans, click here for a list of insurers or call us with your specific questions. Please bring insurance information (including your insurance card) to each visit. We accept payment in the form of cash, check, MC, VISA or Discover. Payment for the office visit and/or co-pay and any previous balances will be collected at the time of service.

HIPAA
We care about your privacy, and our office adheres to federal guidelines laid out in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regarding patient confidentiality.
Blood Draws
We do have access to a Quest Phlebotomist in our new Reston location. We are taking appointments for blood draws, just like we did in our Fairfax location. Please call the office to set up a lab appointment when it’s time for your blood draw.
Location
Dr. Moghissi is sharing space with Dominion Family Health Care. The office is located in an office building in the Reston Hospital Center complex. From the Fairfax County Parkway, turn onto New Dominion Parkway and take the first left onto Town Center Drive. The building will be on your left. There is parking behind the building and in the adjacent parking garage. The office is located in Suite 310 on the third floor.
